[art family] congrats

speechless & beyond grateful & there aren't words to describe how lucky & excited I feel, with a congrats letter from one of my favorite people who has inspired me since the very beginning, this envelope came from Detroit to South Plains College where I'm an adjunct professor this semester (I didn't even know that I had a mailbox there until yesterday!) & contains two huge Kennedy Prints letterpress prints on roadmaps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! &&& make sure to come out to LP: THE LETTERPRESS PROJECT this October First Friday Art Trail for the international letterpress exhibition that Dirk Fowler & I are curating, Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. is one of ten artists we'll be showing off! (thank you thank you thank you Amos !!!! I'll be returning the good vibes soon! lots of love!) #letterpressforever 💙💙💙💙💙

SHRILL, february first friday art trail

SHRILL

Presented by Victoria Marie Bee, SHRILL is an art exhibition featuring work by Katelyn McPherson, Katie Rivera, & Stephanie Berrie; a poetry reading by Jessica Smith, Kyle J. Bassett, Katrina Prow, Chen Chen, Curtis Bauer, & Chris Taylor; a fundraiser sponsored by J&B Coffee, La Sirena, Flippers Tavern, Continental Hairlines, Dirk Fowler, Jonathan Whitfill, Katie Rivera Photography, & V.M.BEE; &, will include the sale of shirts, prints, buttons, & copies of the book I want a president: Transcript of a Rally. All proceeds from this project will go to support both local & national organizations defending women & the rights of all, donated equally among Voice of Hope's Rape Crisis Center of Lubbock, Women's Protective Services of Lubbock, & Planned Parenthood.

SHRILL celebrates solidarity among those who identify as women & anyone in our community who supports basic human rights. These works respond to threats toward individual rights & seek to make our voices heard, through love and respect for all.
