Charles Adams Studio Project is so pleased to welcome our first Artist-in-Residence of 2016, sculptor and performance artist Hannah Thompson, coming to us from Providence, Rhode Island.

Join the analog revival & learn the art of letterpress printing at the Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio at CASP! Students will learn how to hand-set type from our expanding collection of metal & wood typefaces; proper use of the Vandercook SP-15 & other proof/relief presses in the Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio; use vintage plates & also create your own imagery; pressure printing & other alternative print processes; layout of the California Job Case; & much more! Projects may include group letterpress posters, one & multicolor prints, printing on t-shirts, & individual broadsides.
No previous experience required.
Course Fee: $80
(Includes paper & ink, plus more! Depending on individual projects, students may be asked to provide addition materials to print on/with during the class. Email V@VMBEE.com for more information.)
